We are seeking a teacher of Religious Studies to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in a secondary school in north Birmingham.

We are seeking someone with a deep passion for Religious Studies who is able to inspire and nurture a keen interest in the subject. This is an exciting opportunity for either an established teacher or someone who is newly qualified or has experience without a formal teaching qualification.

We are seeking interest from candidates who are:
• Good team players
• Able to motivate, encourage and develop students’ interest in the subject
• Willing to assist with the production of schemes of work, lesson plans, subject examinations
• Able to present learning in an inspiring manner
• Will engage in the continuous assessment of the students and track progress
• prepared to share responsibility for identifying appropriate teaching materials
• Where required, willing to plan, administer and mark students’ work in accordance with the school policy

You should ideally be confident to teach to GCSE level but it is not essential. Experience of teaching Geography and History will be an advantage as cover for these subjects may be required.
